Website on children’s health: Tackling the environmental threats

EPHA sister organisation EEN, the EPHA Environment Network, has launched a new website which will make available an overview of the efforts of NGOs and youth organisations involved in children’s environment and health in the 52 countries of the WHO European Region. EPHA is a partner in this project.

The website provides information about what civil society is doing to promote a better environment for children in Europe.

This includes:

– A list of active NGOs and youth organisations by country
– Details of the NGO activities, case studies, events and publications, by country and by four priority goals
– Success stories
– Viewpoints of national NGOs on their government’s implementation of CEHAPE
– Examples of advocacy tools available to NGOs to help them make their priorities clear to governments.

The website is directly linked to the the official WHO web map on the implementation of Budapest commitments, featuring direct information submitted to the European Environment and Health Committee by the 52 Member States themselves.
