On July 1, 2011 Poland will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The secretariat has prepared a briefing for members with the main contact details and the list of events of the Polish presidency, as well as information on their main priorities.
In its political programme, the Polish Presidency outlined several priorities for health, such as strengthening the role of public health and “closing the gap in the health” by focussing on the prevention, early diagnosis and control of respiratory diseases in children and on activities promoting good nutrition and physical activity.
