Philippe Vandenbroeck

Philippe Vandenbroeck is trained in engineering, philosophy, and urban planning, and brings over 30 years of experience in supporting strategic decision-making and innovation through foresight and systems thinking. He is co-founder of shiftN, a boutique consultancy that works with leading organisations in civil society, public administration, and philanthropy to make sense of complex challenges, assess emerging risks, and identify opportunities for societal value creation. Health care transformation is a central focus in his work. His assignments span areas such as medical workforce planning, improving access to medicines, supporting integration and intersectoral collaboration, promoting health literacy, and strengthening the socio-ecological dimension of health policy. Philippe is also a doctoral researcher at the Chair for Architecture and Urban Transformation at ETH Zürich. He serves on the Executive Committee of the International Federation for Systems Research and sits on the Board of Trustees of the International Futures Forum.
