4th International Conference on Children, Health and Environment

The International Network on Children’s Health, Environment and Safety (INCHES) in collaboration with the University for
Health Sciences and the Medical University of Vienna is organising its 4th International Conference on Children Health and the Environment on the 10-12 June 2007.

The conference, supported by EPHA, focuses on reducing environmental risks for children and addresses a comprehensive list of topics ranging from cancer, and fetal and embryological origins of diseases, to air pollution and climate change.

Target audience: for scientists, health professionals, researchers (clinical, environmental epidemiological and community oriented) and policy makers who have a special interest in children’s environmental health, as well as leaders from the private sector, non-governmental organisations, community organisations, and all levels of government.

Venue: Medical University of Vienna, Austria

Call for abstracts

There is a call for abstracts until the 1st April 2007. All participants are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation during the conference. All authors and speakers must register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fee. Abstracts should preferably address the conference themes:

-Global environmental risks for children
-Best practices – actions taken – different settings
-Critical windows of exposure
-Settings
-Environmental injustice
-Children’s health and socio-economic factors
-New emerging diseases
-Monitoring children’s exposure
